REGULAR MEETING OF THE ALMONT VILLAGE COUNCIL

JANUARY 19, 2010

 

President Schneider called the Regular Meeting of the Almont Village Council to order at 7:30 p.m.

 

Councilmembers Present:        Dyke, Harmon, Lauer, Schneider, Tobias & Umphenour

 

Councilmembers Absent:        Love

 

Staff Present:                          Clerk/Treasurer – Sally McCrea

                                                Police Chief – Pat Nael

                                                Bldg. Inspector – Herb Lowell

 

Councilmember Dyke moved, Councilmember Tobias seconded, PASSED, to approve the consent agenda.

 

The Council approved the inspection of the Cherry St. bridge by Rowe for the amount of $550.00.  When the inspection report is complete the Council would like a copy of the last inspection included with the current one to compare them.

 

The Certificate of Substantial Completion of the water tower was for the Council’s information.

 

The Council asked clerk McCrea to get a copy of Elba Township’s Wind Energy Ordinance Draft.

 

The following was for the Council’s information and possible discussion:

1.  Lapeer County collaborative Planning Commission 30th Annual Planning Conference

2.  Legislative Link

 

The Council would like Clerk McCrea to check to see who is on 911 emergency call now that Manager Oakes is on sick leave.

 

President Schneider will check with Jerry Fine, IGA Plaza owner, to see the status of the IGA building.
